PAIN KILLER QUESTIONNAIRE

QUESTIONNAIRE RESPONSES

What we would do next time:

Next time, we would approach the task completely differently. It took our group more then enough time to come up with an idea that works in the space of 5 minutes, coming up with several ideas that all had potential but didn't fit in with either the theme or the narrative. However, once we came up with the final short film idea we ran into problems that could not be fixed or changed in time for the deadline day. We found that 5 minutes was too short to include everything we wanted, the beginning was slow but we needed it to set-the-scene and to give the audience a chance to understand. After realising the beginning was confusing and slow paced, we had to speed up the middle and the end which affected our overall storyline, plots and narrative structure. Another thing that we would do differently next time would be to focus less on the importance of the cinematography, because although the camera angles were good and in focus, we spent too many hours on small scenes when we should have been focusing on the story and key scenes. This may be a big reason to why we found it hard to edit in order.

Next time we will plan our work better, by focusing on our organisation and time management. This will then give the whole group a base idea for how long we should spend on the script, the filming and the editing.
